After meeting on the first day of college, Morgan and Brian spent several years together, celebrating many of life’s milestones before getting engaged. We caught up with Morgan to hear more about their most recent milestone – their wedding day!
How did Brian propose?
At the time, Brian and I were living in Evanston, IL. Evanston is a suburb of Chicago and sits right on Lake Michigan. Frequently on Friday nights to wind down from the long week at work, we would walk to the beach and share a bottle of wine. On July 12th, 2013, Brian proposed. We walked to the beach and arrived right before sunset. He had swapped out our bottle of wine for a bottle of champagne to celebrate. At sunset, Brian got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was simple and perfect!
What was your favourite aspect of your wedding day?
The best part of our wedding was getting to celebrate with all our family and friends. There is never another time in our life that we will have all those people in one room together. It was amazing to get to spend the entire day with everyone we love.
What drew you to Style 4364?
I first saw my wedding dress on Pinterest. A lot of times you see the same dress over and over again when scrolling through wedding dress ideas. However, this gown grabbed my attention because I had never seen it before. I immediately went on a long search of the internet to try and find the designer. After finally visiting the Paloma Blanca website, I found the dress. On the first day of dress shopping, we went to a small bridal boutique in Naperville, IL called, A Joyful Occasion. They only had 8 Paloma Blanca dress in the store and Style 4364 was one of them! I saved the dress to the very end, the minute I tried it on, I knew it was the one!
Many people complimented that they had not seen a dress in this style before, which is exactly why I fell in love with the dress! I also received many compliments on how incredible the detailed lace and bateau stretch net neckline was. Thank you, Paloma Blanca!
