High school sweethearts, Megan and Alex, were married on a bright, summer day in Maryland. The bride, who’s dress was found at Elegant Touch Bridal & Tuxedo, danced the night away with her new husband, family, and friends. We caught up with Megan to hear more about her special day:

How did Alex propose?
Alex made a dinner reservation at one of our favorite restaurants, Tursiguel’s, for my 25th birthday. When we arrived, there was a bottle of champagne waiting on the table. I thought it was a really nice gesture, and he explained it was for my birthday. After I put my coat away, I came back to the table and there was a ring box open on the table. He asked me if I would marry him, I said yes, and we had a wonderful dinner together.

How did you know your dress was the “one”?
It fit perfectly and had all of the details I was looking for! My wedding dress was really important to me. Paloma Blanca Style 4400 made me feel gorgeous.

What were your top 3 favourite wedding day moments?
1. Our “first look”- I felt overwhelmingly happy and comforted seeing Alex before walking down the aisle. It put me at ease and I was able to take in all of the moments following.
2. The father-daughter dance; my dad used to sing the song “Daddy’s Little Girl” to me when I was younger- during the song, he sang to me and I was smiling the whole time.
3. The last song was Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” and all of our family and friends formed a circle around us, and then lifted us into the air for the last versus. What a great way to end the night!
